A black Corvette Stingray is among the stars of Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". It is driven throughout the movie by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in theatres now, is just the latest Hollywood blockbuster to feature Chevrolet vehicles. The hit movie features the seventh-generation Corvette Stingray in a starring role and the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, Impala and Tahoe in and eye-catching cameos.
“The look and handling of the Corvette Stingray were a perfect fit for the Black Widow: a sleek, fast, sporty and skilled warrior with lots of prowess,” said Steve Tihanyi, GM's general director of Branded Entertainment, who managed Chevrolet’s cooperation with Marvel Studios.
The all-black Corvette Stingray used in the movie boasts 466 hp, 630 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0-100 in 4.2 seconds. The supercar is tightly sculptured, very athletic, is made of lightweight materials and features a high-tech infotainment system.
